Advance Voting

Advance Voting Overview
Advance voting, also known as in-person absentee voting, is required by Georgia law for every election conducted in the state.  All general and primary elections require three weeks of advance voting, including the first two Saturdays of the advance voting period.  Runoff advance voting begins as soon as possible with at least one full week available to voters.

In Bartow County, the three week period is always conducted at our main office at 1300 Joe Frank Harris Parkway in Cartersville.  For large elections and some city elections, we will often open additional opportunities around the county for the convenience of our voters.   Anyone registered in Bartow can vote at any voting location in the county, but please note that you MUST vote in the county you are registered in.  You can always check this page for information about upcoming and current additional advance voting opportunities.

The voting process for advance voting is almost identical to voting on Election Day.  Voters will fill out a form, show their ID, receive a voter card, mark their choices on a touchscreen, and review their ballot before placing it in the scanner.  Voters can verify their voting history using My Voter Page (MVP) within 1-3 business days.  Please note that MVP only works for absentee by mail and advance voting participation.

Advance Voting locations and times
The next opportunity to vote will be in municipal elections in November.  Please revisit this page in early September for updated information about which cities are conducting elections and where advance voting will be held.
